| Contestant interviews, I Love New York 2 Cast, Mr. Wise, Solomon Wise, VH1 | 17 comments »
Let's face it. Oh, I should face it. The Q. is most likely never going to get to sit down with Mr. Wise over a venti Macchiato upside down. However, it doesn't mean I don't want to hear or read what he has to say. One of my mother's main lessons was 'those who seldom speak are the ones who usually have the most wisdom to offer'. (Y'all know I don't have sh!t in the wisdom department to offer, right?) Solomon Wise may very well be one of those my mother was referring to.
The main thing was what happened with Pretty. And the questions that the
y were asking my ex. They were real disgusting questions. Questions that were too personal. I mean, I understand TV, entertainment. It’s reality, it’s funny, but some of this stuff is just overboard. They were asking questions about my parents. I had stated to New York that my immediate parents aren’t available one of my parents is a disabled vet. She got real personal and said something to [ex-girlfriend Kia] like, “Is his dad cuckoo?” I just thought it was a little too personal. They were just trying to dig into stuff that they shoulda just left alone.
Once again, I had the honor of interviewing another one of the "I Love New York 2" contestants, and also one of New York's favorites so far. Read this exclusive interview with "D", and find out a little bit more about them, that everyone doesn't always get to see on the show. This time, find out a little bit more about Buddha! But first, find out a little extra background info about him:
"I'm from Miami, FL. 'Buddha' was the nickname given to me by my deceased friend when I was 15. No one has called me that since his death when I was 17. I said that name in honor of him. He traded his life for mine."
1. How did you make it onto the "I Love New York 2" show?
I casted in Los Angeles.
2. Did you watch the first season of the show?
I didn't see most of the 1st season. I caught the last few episodes on one of those marathons.
3. If so, what do you think of the season as a whole, and watching her get dumped by her fiance at the reunion?
Honestly... I thought it was deserving of her but cowardly of Tango. Tango complaining about "watching her (New York) disrespect" him and his mother. I felt was a cop out for his ego being blown up due to the success of the show. If he thought New York was being dis-respectful to him and his mother he should of said so DURING the show and to her NOT afterwards when all his peers and 1000's of others confronted him about it. I think it was him trying to redeem himself.
4. Who do you think from season 1 you most relate to, and why?
No One. A couple of the people on that show were real individuals but none similar to me.
5. What were your feelings for New York before coming on the show; better said as, what did you think of her?
I thought she was a heart broken woman that truly needed love. My thought in getting on the show was to get to know the real Tiffany and see if we would work together for real NOT to "win over some chick on T.V."
6. What are your thoughts on watching the second episode, and seeing how New York was really feelin' you-in your bathing suit and at the date?
What I've seen thus far comes as no surprise to me. New York is VERY honest but Tiffany is VERY real. Relaying her feelings toward me on the show was a constant by both personalities. She was VERY nervous around me (something VH1 IS NOT showing as it might tarnish her "HBIC" status)... it was VERY flattering. Tiffany's a sweetheart... New York is the paycheck.
7. Was this your first reality tv show?, If so, what was it like seeing yourself on TV for the first time?
Actually this was my 3rd. I was set up on two blind dates by both Lifetime T.V. and B.E.T. however both women weren't my type so I said "NO MORE BLIND DATES FOR ME!!" Although I was offered another 6 afterwards. (Note, for those who do not know, Buddha was featured on BET's "Hell Date", and Lifetime's "Gay, Straight, or Taken").
8. Which of the guys from the house did you become "cool" with instantly?
Mr. Wise, Punk, Man-Man, & Midget MAC right off!
9. What are your thoughts on Sister Patterson?
"Sister" Patterson admittedly is a voodoo high priestess. If you know ANYTHING about Priestess Patterson's religion she adheres to her beliefs with great accuracy therefore her lies and manipulations are not surprising in the least bit. DO NOT be fooled. What most people don't know is Voodoo is often considered a denomination of Christianity (Notice how he put "sister" in quotations).
10. Without spoiling the season, what can we expect?
Not surprising is HIGH DRAMA!! What is surprising is DEEP SUBSTANCE! In the beginning much of the show will be for pure entertainment purposes, but I suspect things will get much deeper as the episodes go on. Stay Tuned!!
-With Love, Buddha
Buddha advises you all to check out his website, www.buddha-verse.com, and to watch the rest of the season for even more surprises! Catch Buddha on "I Love New York 2" this Monday at 9 PM on VH1!
"It Ain't Easy Bein' Cheezy!" The Cheezy Interview
| Cheezy, Contestant interviews, I Love New York 2 | 24 comments »
Hey, what's up? It's "D" here. I've been communicating with 'Cheezy', one of the 20 "I Love New York 2" contestants, and also one of my favorites from the 'mixer' so far. I had the pleasure of interviewing him with a few questions before the show premiered. Read below as we find out how he made it onto the show, what he saw in New York before-ward, and find out just a lil' bit more about Cheezy before the rest of the season airs...
1. How did you make it onto the "I Love New York 2" show?
I've always been a fan of New York and didn't think that many of the guys treated her the way she deserved last season. They thought more about themselves then her at heart. So I decided to write the casting agents a letter stating how she DESERVES someone like me. Someone smart, caring, and always willing to put her first. I guess they understood me, so I was called in for an on camera interview. After that I was flown to LA for a final interview. Next thing I knew, I was in a car with a bunch of random big dudes on the way to the mansion.
2. What turned you on about New York before entering the show?
ATTITUDE. I'm always up for a challenge. Tell me how you feel and tell it to me bluntly. She is real as can be and that's sexy. She also has amazing legs, and sure, I dig the boob job.
3. What previous characters from the previous season of "I Love New York" do you think you most relate to, and why?
12 Pack ALLLLLLLLLL the way!!!!!!!!!! Don't you see the resemblance?????
4. How is the mansion for the show like?
Mansion was nice. Open bar all the time and all the food you can eat. The backyard had a great view of LA and the jacuzzi was orgasmic.
5. Where are you from?
Cherry Hill, NJ. The clean suburban town sandwiched between Camden, NJ and Philly.
6. How did you feel, watching New York get rejected by Flavor Flav on Flavor of Love,TWICE, then getting her wedding called off and dumped at her own reunion?
I feel bad for any girl that gets her heart broken so much. But New York always puts so much effort and energy into her feelings, so you know she is always real. That's why it is twice as heartbreaking. Tango's excuse for breaking up with New York was lame. So she called her mom old....well.....she IS old??? If you were that in love, you would have worked it out beforehand instead of embarrassing your fiancee on National TV. I feel the guys she has seen thus far have not TRULY understood her, so I was excited to have the opportunity to change that.
7. Without spoiling the season, how'd you feel when you first saw New York in person, face to face?
I can steal Tailor Made's line of "it was like the first time i saw the Sistine chapel", but a Sistine chapel with a new boob job and a gold dress that screamed "i'm your trophy take me home". Needless to say, she was pretty breathtaking.
So, there you have it! A bit more from Cheezy himself. Digging the "breast aug" and is a nice person at heart, he's definitely what New York deserves! Catch Cheezy on the next "I Love New York 2" Episode this Monday at 9PM on VH1! Also, be sure to check out the first episode of Aurelius' I Love New York 2 Recap, the premiere of Season 3 of Aurelius' Video Recaps!

Lady Rap Leaps for Flavor Flav
| Contestant interviews, Flavor of Love 3 Casting, Lady Rap | 6 comments »It's getting down to the wire on the FlavorofLoveCastin
g.com site. My oldest sister & my firstborn are visiting from the Bay Area. So I don't have much time to waste my life away looking at my monitor. However, I managed to make time for the lovely LadyRap1. Lady Rap is a petite power house on the 'Flavor of Love 3' casting site. She doesn't have a specific team pulling for her. However, she does have loyal voters who continually drop votes for LadyRap1. During the interview, I got a chance to rap (chat) with this young women with the island edge. Here is what went down:
Where were you born & raised?
I was born in Newark, New Jersey. I've grown up in Essex County my entire life.
What's your favorite childhood memory?
My mother taking us back to her countries. Visiting Haiti and the Dominican Republic was a wonderful experience. It's different from America. You know American kids are more about technology. It's a totally different way of life. It makes you appreciate being raised in America. At the same time it was an enriching experience to know where my mother comes from.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Vanilla with sprinkles, I love the pure taste of it. Strawberry is good too.
Vanilla is a first. Can you cook?
Actually no. She laughs. When I was around 9 or 10, I could cook. I'd make chicken and rice. I lost it. My mother cooks for us all of the time. Makes sure we are eating right. So, I've gotten lazy and spoiled when it comes to that.
What talents would you like potential voters to know about?
Well I rap. I can draw very good. However, my ultimate talent will hopefully be winning Flavor Flav's interest and eventually his heart.
Do you think your rapping will hinder or help you in your attempt to win Flavor Flav's heart?
Well I would hope it would help. We have common ground. We have something in common. We share a love of Hip Hop. However, I don't plan on going into the house talking about it. This isn't an audition or interview. My wanting to be there is about having a chance to meet a man I am very attracted to. It allows me to find out if we will actually mesh, as I think we will. I am into Flavor Flav. Also, I'd like to take the time to clarify the name LadyRap1. Lady Rap has been my nickname for a long time. The funny thing about it R.A.P. are actually my initials. (She shares with me her actual name.)
Have you watched seasons 1 & 2 of 'Flavor of Love'?
Yes, I have. I love the shows. I absolutely love it!
Name your favorite cast member from each season? Why?
Season 1, I most definitely have to say New York. Yes, I know. She's crazy. She is also believable. I really think she was there for Flavor Flav. She made me watch due to my wanting to see what she'd do next. Her exaggerated personality is a can't miss. Season 2, Deelishis was my favorite. I saw that Lishis was there for Flavor Flav. It was all about him and their connecting. She also helped with weeding out the phoneys.
Name your least favorite cast members from each season. Why?
Red Oyster was weird to me. She wore red all of the time and was dull. Something was just not right with her. Let's see season 2, I'd have to say Like Dat. We are both from New Jersey which is cool. I don't think her and Flavor Flav were compatible. I think her 'Flavor of Love' appearance boiled down to something fun for her to do.
Name a scene that you'll never forget.
She laughs. I don't think America will ever forget this scene either, Pumkin spitting on New York. If she had spat on me it would've been a whole notha' ending. She laughs.
Why do you want to be in the 'Flavor of Love 3' mansion?
It's not that I want to be in the mansion. It's my way of meeting Flavor Flav. It's my chance to get to know him. It's my best opportunity to meet him. If it my stepping stone to see if we click like I believe we will, I'll take it. Family and friends don't understand my desire to be with him. However, it's about what I want. My potential for happiness. A lot of people judge my the exterior. I use to. Now I am more into a person's personality. Flavor Flav seems to have a good heart and great personality. That is what turns me on and I find that the most attractive quality. He's cute to me.
On the FlavorofLoveCasting.com site there is a lot of accusations of cheating and name calling, basic negativity. Have you experienced the negativity?
Sure I have. But I don't have time for eThuggin' & Radio Blogging backstabbing. You do you. I am going to do LadyRap1. And I am about doing Flavor Flav. Get at me in the house not on some site hiding behind your monitor.
Well let's (w)rap this up. What would you like our readers and potential voters to know about LadyRap1?
I am genuinely in this to meet Flavor Flav and have an opportunity to build a relationship with him. I am feeling Flavor Flav. I am not in love with him. I have love for him. And I am looking forward to seeing if we have a chemistry to take it to another level.
Well I definitely wouldn't mind watching you win Flavor Flav's heart on 'Flavor of Love 3'. Thank you so much for allowing me to talk to you. And I look forward to our radio interview tonight on The ELLE Word.
That's right folks! Tonight LadyRap1 wants to answer the voters questions on The ELLE Word @ 7pm Pacific Time & 10pm Eastern Time. Call in # (646) 478-5101 and ask her the questions, I didn't. LadyRap1 will be live & ready to answer all, while almost all. (LOL!) Don't miss what should be a very interesting Blog Talk Radio Show.
Earlier today @ 4pm Pacific & 7pm Eastern Time DZ's Talk Show is having a 'Flavor of Love' recap show. 'Flavor of Love 3' is coming in January 2008 (tentatively), Damien will recap the previous seasons of 'Flavor of Love' & touch on how the spin-offs all started. Get ready for a walk down memory lane of spits, arguments, balcony pushes, shoe throwing, yelling, pooping, and hot iron threats? YEEEAAA BOYEEE!!!
A down to the wire Qmoment!
Where were you born and raised?

Dallas was a fun interview. She is witty, bright and unbelievably funny. Dallas has no fear of VH-1 or 'big brother'. Dallas is who she is and makes ZERO apologies for it. She has a dark sense of humor that The Q. enjoys. There are jokes within her answers. I hope you all pick up on them. (And if you don't... so sad, too bad.) Dallas is a character, no doubt about it. Let the interview begin!

No worries, Licious is to the rescue and will keep things entertaining and semi-professional. Listen in @ 8pm Pacific, 9pm Mountain, 10pm Central & 11pm Eastern Time.

Kelly's Premature Exit...
| Contestant interviews, Kelly Munroe, Rock of Love contestants | 10 comments »Kelly Munroe was one of the first of the 'Rock of Love' women to return my messages. She is a pleasure to talk on the phone. She's unguarded and extremely pleasant. My only wish is I wanted to see more of her on the 'Rock of Love'. Beggars can't be chosey. I have to watch the 21 women VH-1 wanted me to see. Thank God Kelly doesn't talk remotely like the Barbie Twins a.k.a. Brandi C. & Kristia.
Gabrielle T is blowing up
| Contestant interviews, Ms Deja interview, Saaphyri on the Elle Word Radio Show | 65 comments »Our girl's interview with Saaphyri (technical flaws and all) was the 5th most popular show of the week and today's interview with Hottie is the featured Show of the Day.
All the proof can be found here...
I tried to get a quote from her this morning but her publicist said she's making appearances all day and can't comment. (smh at the attitude a little success brings)
That said, I am positive she's appreciative of all the support she's had from you (the common people) and her celebrity guests, Onix, Somethin, Trends, Quanda, Wood, Mr. Boston, Mr. New York and Saaphyri.
Saaphyri blew me away with her interview. I didn't like her that much and my recaps reflect that; but I was wrong, clearly.
She's definitely my choice to be the winner of Charm School (but that can change in a hurry)
Now that Gabrielle is established we need to dominate the BlogTalk radio Top 10.
All our friends' shows need to be there (Buckwild's, Quanda's and Licious', Aurelius' and Aanand's, Jeff's and Steve's)
But, before you dash off to listen to those podcasts (repeated listens do count) you might want start your day straight, with a read of Q-gasm's interview with erotic model Ms. Deja.
I know it has nothing to do with Charm School, I Love New York or Flavor of Love, but aren't you curious to learn why my name came up?
Hmmmn.
Darra speaks to Rich at VH1
| Charm School Contestants, Contestant interviews, Darra Boyd | 9 comments »An extract from the interview:
Do you think Schatar is a liar or does she believe what she says?
I think the woman is delusional. She has been lying for so long and so well that she just believes her stories. Sometimes it becomes ingrained. You know, bipolar disorder combined or the wrong drugs and there you go: it's over. But you know, this isn't the end of the world. I'm not going to kill her for this. I don't hate her for this. But, yeah, I am a little pissed. But whose fault is it really? I chose! But damn. I got bamboozled.

What does Schatar have to say about that? You might just hear it for yourself this Tuesday on The Elle Word.
Shay and Larissa are not friends
| Bootz, Charm School Contestants, Contestant interviews, DC Livers, Shay Johnson, Shay Johnson interview | 87 comments »
How do I know?
I heard her say as much in yet another fantastic DC Livers interview on Black Press Radio.
I am tired of trumpeting DC Livers skill at extracting emotion from her interviewees so I won't do that again. But just know, if you can spare 30+ minutes of your time you'll hear Shay 'Buckeey' Johnson's thoughts on New York ("she's fake") Chance, Real and Tango.
She addresses the issue of the assumed friendship with Larissa (Bootz) and reveals the person she considers a friend from her time on Flavor of Love 2 and Charm School.
But it's much more than that because she opens the door to her life and explains why she is who she is...
Lots of emotion in this interview and on this thirty minutes alone I have to say she is one of my favorite girls from the Flavor of Love series and spin-offs.

Charm School's Darra talks to DC Livers

Darra (Flavor of Love 2, Charm School) talks to DC Livers of Black Press Radio and speaks about her job in pharmaceutical advertising, the corporate following of the VH1 shows, her 'weight-not-a-problem' and the feather incident.
Once again, Darra proves herself to be an incredibly classy woman and of course DC Livers is as good an interviewer as you'll ever hear. But at times Darra came across harsh; but that's just me.
Maybe it's just her natural confidence; because she is so much more accomplished and articulate compared to all the other women on these shows.
Moving on, I can't wait to hear DC interview 'New York' because she seems well equipped to reveal the real Tiffany Pollard.
And speaking of, the I Love New York 2: You Cast it Special was on last night and it was terrific. New York really is ready-made for television.
Anyways, I'll probably write about the Cast It special later tonight; or maybe I won't.
Until then, why not listen to DC Liver's podcast interview with Darra of Charm School (there is an opportunity to download as well)

I love New York's Rico speaks to Black Press Magazine
| Black Press Radio, Contestant interviews, DC Livers, Rico | 31 comments »
As we reported, exclusively; Rico missed the Reunion Show because he was incarcerated on a charge for driving while licensed revoked.
Subsequently, in her final article for The Blogspot, Quanda made the argument that he was forced into breaking the law because his father was experiencing chest pains at the time (Rico's dad suffered a heart-attack recently)
I can understand that...maybe he could have placed a call but I would probably have done the same. And in fact I have been arrested for the same charge.
That said, Rico agreed to be interviewed by DC Livers at BlackPressRadio.com and he addresses that issue and his experience on 'I Love New York'.
Click here for the interview (click "let me Enter" then select the podcast titled 'I Love New York's Rico: I'm not racist')
We heard about the casting call for I love New York 2 but we wrote nothing about it because...well just because.
But, last night the second series was confirmed via an advertisement run between segments of Episode 3 of Charm School.
It was expected, but not so soon, I'd think. But who's complaining?
At the very least, it means we are gonna be around for a few more months to cover the stories and lives of the characters on the Flavor of Love and it's spinoffs.
The 'I Love New York' Reunion Show Missing Link
For the record: I love VH-1 and 51 Minds. Do not punish the messenger. And if I must be punished ...could Kuba be the one to spank me. He is such a cutie. I promise to call him 'Big Daddy K'.
Alright that was a submissive moment. It happens once every 5 years. On to the subject at hand; Where the heck was Pootie? Did we not want to see him again? I did. I mean he stood toe to toe with that Wig-A-Beast. And he didn't flinch. He kept her mansion straight by cooking and cleaning. Pootie stole 12 Pack's graph and gave a memorable 'Potential Earnings' presentation. Then he did the ultimate for the 'I Love New York' viewer ...he did a swan dive down the stairs. (This by the way is Quanda's 3rd favorite reality television moment.) Thanks to a person who shall remain nameless (for disrespect), I discovered Pootie on mySpace. Pootie had no airs about him. He was ready for the readers of the 'I Love New York' Blogspot to hear his take on reality television. All bullsh@t aside, many think Pootie is crazy. Quanda doesn't and I respect that he is a Chi-town brother who listens to the beat of his own drummer. And in Q. fashion f@ck what anyone else thinks ...it's Pootie's World. And in his world he can do and say what he pleases. Enough typed ....the interview begins.
Who is Pootie?
Pootie is loosely based off of a character in the movie 'Pootie Tang'. He was a good looking cat who had a positive thang goin' on. However, 'The Man' tried to turn him into a negative individual in order to make $$$. And LaMonty was in a dangerous situation with that contract I signed. Which basically gave VH-1 the power to edit, defame me in anyway to make their paper. I want people to know there is more to me than what they saw on 'I Love New York'.
How does LaMonty make a living?
Baby, I am a brick layer. I work on high raises. I work on scale $29.50 per hour. I also model, act and do stunt work. I've been in 'War of the Worlds', 'Ghost & Demons' and 'Prison Break'.
Tell me a little more about LaMonty.
I can be very humorous. I am black and Puerto Rican. I am 31 with no kids and single. I am looking forward to a future in the entertainment industry; modeling, commercials, stunt work and acting.
Single ...huh? How are the ladies treating Pootie?
The ladies have always loved me.
Tell me a little about what you brought to 'I Love New York'.
A real man is what I brought to the show. I am a man who cooks and cleans. I know how to maintain a home. Whilst VH-1 is playing making it look like 12 Pack was throwing it down. It was Pootie who got the barbecue going. T-Weed and I were the ones who got the list together of the groceries and supplies we needed. I hooked that cue up. I made shrimp, pasta, corn on the cob ...it was all good.
What happen during the 'Potential Earnings' presentation?
Somebody need to check her and her mother. Omarosa was real. But them two....
What's up with the dive?
Man, I was trying to make good reality t.v. But instead it scared the producers. They called the ambulance and all this extra stuff. Worried about Pootie suing them. How can I sue them ...I've done signed my life away for a year. I can't sue them! I was trying to be entertaining and make great reality t.v.
How was dinner with Sister Patterson?
Man, I am a steak and potato guy. Why you going to take me to a soup and sandwich place? I don't want no d@mn soup and sandwiches.
What's up with you leaving?
Truth be told ...the producers coming at me telling me I am the realest person there. They tell me to go lay down and rest. Then they play me ...having me asked to leave. But all the time, I 've had enough and they beg me to stay. That' s the real situation.
Ummmmmm...Pootie we stepping into some controversial territory. You sure you want to go here?
Controversy? *He laughs. Sue me...I am broke right? You get nothing from nothing.
I asked you earlier what you brought to 'I Love New York'. Now I need to know what brought you to 'I Love New York'.
I didn't audition for 'I Love New York'.
What?
You heard me. I auditioned for FOX UPN's 'The Player'. They called me to ask if they could pass my audition tape to VH-1. VH-1 was casting for a new dating show. I said sure. VH-1 starting calling me for 'The Flavorette'. And I was told it was Hoopz who we were competing for.
D@mn! ( And he ain't the only one folks!) Did you find New York attractive?
I didn't find her attractive. Hoopz is more my speed. It was an opportunity to be on a show.
Not too long ago in a King Magazine interview, she said the 'winner' had a two inch penis. Any thoughts on that?
I am not one to be commenting on another man's dick. My question would be was it 2 inch soft or hard? Just shows her true character ...
For real huh? What's up with all the suitcases?
Man, I had some outfits. I have some suits you wouldn't believe. And of course I had to bring the gators. I had a pair that Tango wanted. I couldn't let them go ...they my 'Tango' gators. You remember during the presentation I mention it cost me money to get there. That's the money I spent for my extra luggage. VH-1 wouldn't pay for it. But they making a show paying us $100 per day while they raking in the dough. $250 for the 'I Love New York' Reunion Show appearance. ( D@mn ...I should've hit Whiteboy up for a drink or two and a midnight snack.)
*Laughing Pootie you are definitely too much. What was it like living in the 'I Love New York' mansion?
It was a danger zone. You have New York, Sister Patterson and Chamo staying on one side of the house. You in there with guys you don't know. And you know they have that placed wired where they can hear the sound of your shit dropping.
Are you going to be at the 'I Love New York' Reunion Show?
No they didn't invite me back. But they keep calling about some d@mn counseling. I want them to leave me the hell alone. You know what Quanda that contract binds me to get approval for any other projects I want to do. But when I have an opportunity, they take weeks to get back at me. You can't get back to me about me getting exposure and building my future. But you want to call me about some therapy. Go on with that bullsh@t!
Pootie this interview nervouses the hell out of me.
Baby, VH-1 is about reality t.v. Our reality is God's vision.
You have just shared a Qmoment way overdue!
