Having debuted with record Nielsen numbers of 4.4 million viewers that made 'I Love New York' the highest rated premiere in VH1 history; there was an expected an understandable decrease in its second week.

The numbers for 'I Love New York Episode 2' was a somewhat disappointing 3.2 million viewers. Still enough to make it the highest rated show on VH1; but 25% fewer than it's debut numbers.
In simple terms 1 out of every 4 viewers who saw the premiere declined to watch the next episode.

There are reasons of course; many would have opted for the Golden Globes on NBC for example. But still, that's a huge drop.
There must have been some concern among the 'I Love New York' producers but I could have given them the answer for the fall-off...YouTube!
Those videos on 'YouTube' encourage people to watch the show; not the opposite. When they stifle faithful fans like Ponlork, they are only hurting themselves.

The third Episode's numbers, however, are much more positive reading.
My source, whom I really must thank; only minutes ago provided me with the numbers for the episode aired last evening.
I Love New York episode 3 scored 3,538,000 viewers; a 9% increase from the previous week.

Hopefully those numbers continue to rise because the show has been excellent; but they have got to turn a blind eye to the V-Spot and Podcast captures on YouTube. That's the only way the show can realize its full potential.

Keep refreshing your browsers, we just may have an interview from one of the favorites in an hour or two.
Laterz.

that vspot bullcrap has definately decreased my interest. they don't even show entire eps. and for every 2 mins of show you get a commercial. blah. i just read this blog and decline to watch the nonesense show.
