When Pumkin spat on New York last season it upset me more that she was a white girl spitting on a black girl than the act itself. I doubt my reaction would have been as vehement were it two black girls or two white girls.
To me it is natural when individuals of different ethnicities collide for one to perceive the conflict as a battle between races and not people. It is wrong to do so in most cases but you just can't help yourself.
This season I have had similar thoughts regarding the obvious dislike of Krazy by the African-American girls, namely Bootz, Buckeey and Deelishis. It appeared to me that they ganged up on her not because she was white but because they cliqued as black people and defended each other.
I never bothered to write about it because I don't like to take this blog too seriously and no one is trying to win Pulitzers here. But Groovy linked me to an article by a young black female writer, Jameya Porter, that prompted this blog (see picture.)
The article is for the A&T Register, the Independent Student Newspaper at North Carolina A&T State University and you can read the entire article if you choose but I chose these excerpts to highlight
Krazie (sp) is a seemingly tall, slim woman who has what appears to be naturally very long hair, a very light skin complexion, and sort of "exotic" facial features...whereas the majority of the other women in the house are mostly chocolate-colored sistas, with many dominant physical features, from head to toe.
The women look at her, I suppose, as what they wish they could be. They feel that she is a threat -not solely or mostly because she is one of Flav's favorite girls...but because she physically has most of what they don't, and vice-versa.
The chocolate sistas in the house have the thick lips, the naturally jet-black hair, the beautifully shaped noses that fit their faces just right...and of course the very "healthy" hips, backsides, and chests. They are able to relax their naturally kinky hair and add very long extensions to it and even dye their tresses, plus add a whole lot of unnecessary make-up to their faces -perhaps in hope of at least coming close to achieving whatever they feel they lack upon comparing themselves to women like Krazie.
Yet, they are still unsatisfied, as they look towards her with so much envy and therefore resentment, that it drives them crazy, and they then find any reason to try to throw her off balance, bring her down, and have her question her own individual greatness.
Sistas at A&T -sistas EVERYwhere: whether shaded plum, fudge, milk chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, peach or banana...I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again until I get it right and someone -at least one sista -hears me:
Let's kill this. Let's be better than this. Let's observe the beauty of others, all the while acknowledging and appreciating the beauty in our own selves. Whether you want to do things naturally or seek externally to alter your beauty, just be sure to do it for you. Yes, it is human nature to compare things -including yourself to others...but that can only be taken but so far.
We shouldn't punish someone because we wish our grass were just as green as theirs. All we can do is just continue to make sure we keep watering and cutting our own...and let life do what it does in return.
I am certain there are a sprinkling of black women who actively covet the physical characteristics of non-black women but I am entirely certain that this isn't the reason Krazy is being picked on. I think it's simply the case of girls bonding, possibly because of race, and stressing another girl whom they don't respect.
What's surprising is a black girl, and an educated black girl at that so quick to pull a race-envy trigger. I could have easily bought any argument for their dislike but being blinded by a Eurocentric vision of beauty isn't one of them.

I am glad I came across this post and as a Black women I must agree... they seem jealous! My husband and I discussed if Flav should pick Bootz (?) over Krazy since on that episode they had the big fight... and we broke it down in two ways: Would a man perfer a woman who bent over and showed all of his friends her business (and we know what that is) ...or a woman who did not know his music but pretend she did before being called out and admitting! Krazy can always learn his music but how do you "unshow" all the business Bootz showed his friend? I think they feel threatened because Krazy fits the profile of what "most" NOT ALL videos are showing our young black women of what beauty is! In videos "usally..not always" the darker women is the dancer while the, lets say, not dark at all, seems to be the main women/character! It starts... at home...! Even my beautiful black girlfriend said they would choose Bootz over Krazy... huh??? A women who would bare all for her man's friends! It's said... but those with a third eye can reconize the power of self love!
I think the writers trying to impose her own self hatred on other black women. We dont all feel like that and its very sad her and anyone else that agrees with her feels this way. I love being a black woman and wouldnt want to be anything else. I dont know the girls on FOL personally but they dont seem like the kind to be jealous of someone cause they are latino they look like they are proud of who they are and what they look like. You cant tell them they aint the finest women on earth.

First of all...let me just say that wow - didn't realize my article would stir up such a fuss...
Well, actually, I did...ha - but thought it wouldn't go past those who attend my university.
But since it did...I think one's opinion is one of the last things we TRULY have to ourselves in this world, so by all means! Even if I'm disagreed with...
And with that said....
In response to comments of the blogger and those who have commented thus far:
It is interesting that a few of the comments made by those before me include general statements that all Black women really love themselves and are actually very proud to be who they are. It is interesting because, while that might be the most ideal thought that we could have about ourselves, it can't possibly be true.
Yes, there are many Black women out there who really do love themselves - who really do appreciate who they are...and trust me, I'm one of them...but unfortunately, there are also many of our women out there who do not feel that way. Some of them actually admit this, but guess what? There are many who will never tell you - who don't even know it, themselves...but it is instead clear in their actions and even their words.
That's the whole concept of what goes on "subconsciously," for those who may or may not know - truths that are not on the surface and in big, bright, neon colors for you to openly see. They are underlying realities...whether you choose to take notice of them, agree with them, or not.
And as for the whole Flavor of Love drama, I'm not saying the chocolate-complexioned women on the show who have attacked Krazy countlessly have an outright hatred for themselves - they might very well like and love much of themselves, all the while hating Krazy for having certain physical attributes that they don't possess, as stated in the article. Of course, it could be argued that you don't have to hate (or hate on) someone else, in order to love yourself, but...that's for a whole other post.
Addtionally, if you read the whole article, you will see that I still do not buy the whole "fake" allegation repeatedly made towards Krazy, considering the circumstances on the show. To a certain degree, they could ALL be fake, for all we know. Who are we (or they) to single her out?
And Steups: what you said about the three women - Bootz, Buckeey, and Deelishis - mostly giving Krazy the hard time is just an example of three Black women simply banding together...is partially what I was going to mention in the article, but there was one part I feel you left out.
In the article, I was going to say that yes, on the surface...it seems like a nice situation, where you have sistas coming together and standing up for one another for a common cause...BUT...going beyond that basic observation, you have to wonder why they would even have to stick together in this situation in the first place? Krazy is no threat physically, verbally, or otherwise.....yet, whenever one of them would get into a conflict with her, it'd be all three of them versus her...and for what? It made no sense.
And what's more, I sort of felt that...just how it seems too often to be the case in reality, just as soon as Krazy gets out of the picture (which I don't forsee...because Flav really seems to like her, for whatever reason), they might then turn on each other. That isn't to say that is how all Black women are, but...many of the time, it is easy for us to half-way come together when it comes to those of another race or those not like us, but when it's just us...we STILL manage to have to have some type of beef or division between us (i.e. think of Black-on-Black crime, the bloods and the crips, East Coast vs. West Coast, complexion discrimination, etc. etc.). A friend of mine once made an interesting point in saying...if you go into the auditorium of a predominantly white institution, you are likely to see all of the blacks sitting closely together...but if you go into an HBCU (historically black college or university) auditorium, they're likely all spread apart.
And the anonymous sista who commented above, also saying she feels the women in question do possess a certain level of jealousy of Krazy...made another point. The reality of society today is that Krazy really DOES represent what many Black men are more inclined to notice, when it comes to beauty. That is fortunately beginning to change a little - slowly but surely, as you are finding more medium and dark-complexioned African-American women with Afrocentric features and natural hairstyles in commercials and other forms of advertising...but still, as the sista mentioned, women who look like Krazy really ARE more likely to have the leading, "woman of my dreams" roles in music videos, while women who look more like Bootz are going to be the half-naked, booty-poppers and breast-shakers.
Shoot - you might even ask yourself just why in the world Flav has kept Krazy around for so long! He has seemed to be so questionable on the show about why Krazy is "really" there (although he should really be questioning why ANY of them on are really there)...but at teh same time, he keeps mentioning this "connection" they have as being why she is obviously one of his favorites...
...But, at least from viewer observation, all he ever really does with the women is make out with them, feel on them, and have the same brief discussion about their loyalty towards him....So, why has he REALLY kept her around??? Why has she REALLY been his favorite all of this time?
Oh, and for the record...to anyone who wants to know why I wouldn't also mention Buckwild or Toastee as threats to the chocolate sistas, I ask them to look at the music videos and which types of women Black men would often find most physically attractive...and as pretty as the two previously mentioned girls (Buckwild and Toastee) might be in their own way...I doubt they would say either of them. Krazy is who they would notice.

Truthfully, I do believe it has to be a race thing. Deelishis has stated many of times to Krazy that she "will wipe the floor with her white ass."
When did it ever come out that Krazy was a latina? Did I miss something? Her bio on the VH1 page says she is from West Virginia. I thought she was just country. And I also agree with whomever stated that all the girls are there for something other than to be with Flavor Flav. And does anyone really believe that Flavor Flav has enough clout in the music industry to really do anything for Krazy's career?
Why everything gotta be about race, in season 1 all the girls were singling out New York but you didn't hear anybody making a big fuss about that. Shit has nothing to do with Krazy being latina it's just so obvious that she's there to further her singing career I mean it's PAINFULLY OBVIOUS it doesn't take a North Carolina A&T State University graduate to see that. And the way I see it, you haven't really been watching the show or researching it thoroughly because if you did, you would of at least known how to spell Krazy's name so do your homework next time before you feel qualified to speak on this okay? I'm tired of people always pulling the race card and bringing race into something that has absolutely nothing at all to do with anything.
On the first episode, Flav said he had a thing for Latina's when he was talking about Krazy. She is attractive, but she had nothin on Bootz or even Buckey, especially not Beutiful (or however he spelled it). I think a lot of people felt that he kept her phony butt because she was pale and that translates into better ratings by keeping more white viewers. The same goes for Pumpkin, who was not nearly as cute as Krazy, she was average.
As for the oped, give someone a Sociology 101 class and they think they are PhD's. But it is her opinion and that is an issue hat needs to be addressed and discussed.
As for the three teaming up, perhaps it is racial, perhaps they knew Flav loved Latinas, perhaps they knew she was fake as hell, perhaps it was all three. The whole tone towards her changed when she proved how phony she was by not being able to mention any of Flav's songs, despite being a huge fan.
I personally think yhis is the dumbest topic here. I am a huge fan of FOL and to actually think that any of the fights have to do with race just shows how far we have come in this country. And as for the "educated" student who wrote that article, i feel trully sorry for her. I don't know if a black guy told her she was ugly because she was black or she's just jealousy herself of white or latin people. Either way it is mainly her problem.
Let's be real: Krazy is the prettiest one left, flav is feeling her so the other girls are jealous. To deny their jealousy is absolutely ridiculous, especially when we've seen on this very blog that Bucky and Bootz had boyfriends the whole time. I think its safe to say that their accusations of Krazy being fake were at best, disingenous, because lo and behold they were "fake" too. But I don't blame them - flav is a crackhead who until recently was unable to take care of his kids.
Getting back on topic. The author of the post does raise some interesting points and I don't think its fair to dismiss her as a self hating individual because she voices her opinion. However another individual did raise a very good point: it is a competition. Their jealousy is coming from somewhere, whether or not its coming from a subconscience jealousy of Krazy's idealized beauty or her closeness with Flav who's to say. I'm leaning more toward's the author's theory for the simple fact that they give Krazy a hell of lot more venum than they do Miss NY who's is the absolute queen of fake.
All that being said, I love the show!

By looking at your pic, it seems that you are being biased in your article. You are a woman of dark color and even among other women of color you would be biased of women that are lighter than you are.
Black women are a unique type, what other woman can come in so many hues of color and yet be defined in one race? Let's keep it real, all of your life you probably wished that you were that light skinned, long haired, straight nosed, "black girl" who seem to get all the attention from the boys.

Do the lot of you really not see this? Folks, the article isn't simply about the silly show. As a matter of fact, I don't even like the show and I can see that. Quite frankly, I feel it is an insult to my intellect that VH1 would even throw such a broadcast out there for me to watch. In case any of you have bothered to really read what they young lady wrote, there is a whole layer to this thing that no one has even bothered to look at. Ms. Porter is simply using the television show to make a point. Albeit not very clear to some people, folks who actually bother to not only study and ask questions, but also take in as many life experiences as possible would clearly understand what she's trying to say. The underlying message has everything to do with our society and it all went straight over most of your heads. Whether you choose to believe it or not, there is still a "Light vs. Dark" battle in the black community. While we all might be able to cite numerous situations where we've seen exceptions, it still exists. If you still have trouble grasping this concept, you have been watching way too much "Flavor of Love" and need to take your butt from out of that dent in your La-Z-Boy. Regardless of the REAL reason that they don't like Krazy, it still plays into the point that she was trying to make. Take it or leave it. You can't argue that the girl is fake. All of them are fake. Otherwise they could come up with a better scheme to find a man and/or get themselves seen. Who in the blue hell would really want to be with Flavor Flav? Why would you even want to vie for such a person's attention? You're talking about somebody who has the sense of a paper cup and the looks of a bulldog. In this situation, can you feasibly come up with another reason that they don't like this girl?

Intelligence prevails over skin color.
I do believe that a lot of black women are jealous of the lighter skinned or latino looking women because regardless of what, they are more preferred, period. Yeah delicious and bootz, and even the other girl may have the big behinds and the full breast but when it comes down to it, that high yella skin and the real (good) hair will attract more attention than having a big behind.. Is that the reason that crazy was hated? I don't know. Krazy was fake and even his children could see straight through her, however, that does not justify the fact that black women have that "jealous" "diva" attitude and they are very jealous and this is coming from a black woman! we need to recognize and acknowledge our own beauty instead on envying others!
Bootz even stated herself the fact that she is "too jealous", the jealous, diva, attitudes that black women have really need to stop, that is why we don't get along. Too many of us have thar competitive attitude about everything. WHo has the best body, the nicest hair, the prettier face, the better clothes, it's just crazy! Then when I heard delicious get in krazy's face and say "I have long hair and a big booty". When first off, the hair si not even hers and secondly, is that all she feels that she hs to offer? It's just sad to see because so many women feel as though that is all they have to offer because in all honesty, it actually is.. Bottom line, black women need to stop hatin and start loving themselves, embracing what they see in the mirror and if one is more "preferred" than you, who cares? Love yourselves!

When you are in a competition you have to do what you have to do in order to get ahead/eliminate your competitors. Now it just so happens that Krazy is white. So F$cking what!!! You can have the most prettiest faces, but if you have a bad attitude, it could over power that pretty face? There was a comment stated from a black woman talking about how her and her husband both agreed that they would choose Krazy over Bootz who was entertaining his friends by shaking her a$$. Ok that's fine and dandy, but I don't think your husband would choose a chick that he just met and gave up the goodies at the drop of a dime to be his woman. Let's not forget the hot tub scene and how she told Dee all of the business.
Now I can't stand fake people and if I was on that show, I would definitely call her out! Just like I would have called out Payshyntz and she's a black woman. I'm glad I wasn't on the show though because I could not stomach Bucwild. She reminds me of Jamie Kennedy when he played as a rapper in that movie Malibu. I knew she was fake from jump!!
I hate the fact that I suckered myself into even commenting to this article, but I think that for a minute everybody forgot that it was a competition. I think that if he would have let Krazy go a long time ago and if NY never came back, that the girls in the house would have found someone else to weed out. Let all that jealousy sh$t go!!!! It's all scripted and it's just entertainment.
You all have said a lot, and i'm going to take a shot at it myself.
I know that a color issues does exist among some women. But that's across all races, all nationalities. To chaulk up what's happening on FOL to a color issues is short-sighted. From the writer's own comments I gathered she meant to stir the pot with her comments, however, I think it's negligent to write an article like that without thoroughly researching the entire dynamic on the show.
First, Krazy wasn't dubbed Krazy because she was the most sound minded of the bunch. She's Kray because she's crazy.
After only a couple days in the house, she's got her a "best friend" and she has taken off her panties in the tub with Flav. Why? She's niave. She doesn't know how to separate making friends and being accepted from a game. I don't think Delicous ever meant to be the "friend" and it Krazy was crying like an idiot the very next time Flav was with someone else. The other ladies saw this and perceived it as her being crazy AND also her latching onto people and turning on them too quickly. No one wants to deal with that. To take Krazy in as a friend meant to back off from Flav because she was going to guilt you into letting her have him.
We see she's unbalanced in the way that she is more interested in making friends and being accepted than in the real reason she came. Her demo was NOT the real reason she came. She wanted friends, acceptance and I really think she thought she was going to get flav. Why? she's crazy.
You cannot make friends in a competition like that. We see how weak she is when she latches onto NY after Delicous dumps her. NY threw her out of her chair and pressed her finger into her forehead the day before. Now, she sees NY as the only other real person in the house? Why? because Crazy is insecure and co-dependent. She needs a relationship in that house. We see how easily her thoughts can be swayed when she starts echoing NY's words to Bucky.
We see how weak she is when she can't stand up for herself in front of Flav's male friends. She allows them to trap her with the "you don't know flav's music" issue. She allows them to gang up on her.
Why did these people do this? In society, the strong devour the weak. They smell fear, they smell weakness and the weak get devoured. That's in any culture.
NY says it best. She's the HBIC. they ALL were vying for that position. Each person that tried to take that position, they got sent out of the house by some means and right away. Now the two HBIC's that are left are Delicious and NY.
It's the dynamics of Domination at work on this show, not idiotic jealousy. You see NY exert her dominance over every woman in that house one by one. She started off by lying and telling them SHE had total control of eliminations. Otherwise, none of those chicks would have given her a second thought.
Buckwild--she got her under control the quickest. You remember buckwild saying "I just didn't want her mad at me," as they were all getting dressed. It got out of control once Buckwild thought she was backed by the other women at the photo shot. NY regained control with the bratty stomp off. Works every time.
Nibbles--Nibbles was scared of NY. She had NO trouble out of her whatsoever.
Beautiful--did she even open her mouth to NY?
Bootz-All talk, but NY saw that to get to bootz, she had to get her alone because in front of everyone else, she was going to play her big dog role.
Buckey--same thing. DO not recall her puffing up to NY. even on the balcony, buckey went after weak Krazy because she knew not to start nothing with New York.
Krazy--Krazy got punked because NY knew once she tossed her out of that chair and nothing happened, girl was weak. Only thing left was to punk Delcious.
She hasn't been able to punk her yet except ONCE I'll say about the rooms just because Flav and the parents were all in there. She did the right thing by bowing out to the smokers who needed the patio. Well, the polite thing, I'll say.
Krazy couldn't pull rank on any woman in that house and that's why they didn't like her. She was weak.
Same thing happened to that half chinese chick and the same thing happened to Toasty. When push came to shove, they couldn't stand up for themselves and they got punked.
Now, after you get punked, you need to get tossed out, but Krazy didn't get tossed out so the girls did not like her because Flav couldn't see her weakness and toss her.
That's what happened. Delicious is just as light as Krazy. She wasn't worried about her color. And London Charles is a very beautiful woman. Nothing to feel insecure about and I believe she knows that by the way she acts.
New York is not charcoal black. She's beautiful also and she knows it. Bucky and bootz, beautiful women. They know it. You can tell by how they carry themselves.
Krazy, she knows it, but she doesn't believe in herself, that she can stand alone. That's why they didn't like her.
They also didn't like her psychological games. She was trying to get Flav caught up in this "I need love" kind of head game romance, some co-dependent thing right from the start. Her emotions were as deep as an ocean and none of the women wanted to be swamped by them.
Maybe Krazy acted that way because she was light skinned and therefore thought she didn't fit in and her insecurities about being who she was led her to behave that way. But that whole dynamic was about which bitch was going to get punked first for the rest of them.

I totally disagree with this article. Matter of fact i am trying to figure out what show were you watching to get this opinion about the black girls ganging up on Krazy. I have viewed each show and I did not get the idea that these black girls were jealous of some stringy
haired white girl. Krazy was extremely fake and there for a music career. While all of them have motives, she was the most obvious because she brought her demo tape there. I think you are reading wayyy too much into this to create an article. Wow.... I have had many debates about this (and other's) with jameya, and let me just tell you that she can write some damn articles. And this seems like if this is really Bootz posting that message, which I know it is. You are really contradicting yourself when you are saying that Meya is downing her own race, when you just talked shit about her yourself. So in a sense, you are downing your own race as well. At least Jameya's not one bending over and shaking her shit every chance that she got. I disagree with the article personally that there was no evidence that there was jealousy towards Krazy b/c of her skin tone, I knew she was fake from watching the episodes that I've seen. But it was a well written piece, and I'm glad it's made it's way to VH1. And it seems the classic saying goes. If you take it personally, then it must evidently be referring to you. Okay Jameya is a good friend of mine. No doubt about that. But I have to vent about this.
First and Foremost. She is stating an observation. Not trying to make you people into some type of "self-hating" people. She just noticed something in the show which we ALL noticed while watching the show. Come on...unless your blind.
Secondly, I dont necessarily fully agree with the whole idea. I dont think that they are necessarily "hatin" on Krazy because shes fake, rather I think they (were) getting on her for OBVIOUSLY being there just for her singing carrer. But Ms. Porter makes a good point, in that there is a level of fakeness in the show. Come on. All of these girls have aspiring acting carrers, and are looking to further their acting. 1. Flav wanted another white woman to replace the admiration Gitte had for him because he never expected a white woman could have sincere serious luv-like feelings for him. That's what FOL was about initially. When he saw all the white chicks were full of it, he settled on getting a latina or mulatto (Hoopz), especially after meeting her loose white mom.
2. The sisters on FOL2 hated Krazy because they knew she was fake, and it pissed them off that Flav kept her around despite that fact. It's no secret that our society treats white women like they are so much better than women of color. So if we'e being honest, women of color have a built in frustration, anger, and resentment toward white chicks automatically. Add bullshit to the mix, along with Flav keeping her around when everyone can see how fake she is... and you've got yourself the perfect ingredients for instant woop ass on the white/latina whatever chick.
3. Did you all notice how Flav intentionally stirred shit up by telling Dee how much he was feeling her and Krazy?

The auditorium statement was funny, and open to perception, and not my experience going to another HBCU in NC. Firstly, It's bananas to make such an issue of JaMeya's education. You can be intelligent with a PHD or a GED, at an Ivy League or a State school, you can be right or wrong either way. So what's the point of bringing JaMeya’ university attendance up? It's as if people are saying "how dare JaMeya write a piece and not be in accord with my own brilliant, educated, well read" opinon. Stop it, for real though. She didn't say she was a scholar, so said she had an opinion. It wasn't poorly written, her position didn't require statistical findings that you could argue are inaccurate. Agree or disagree about her perception of "complexion hating" amongst the women on FOL, it's pretty clear that her intention was to help Black women be aware of the possibility of self-hatred, manifested in hyper-negative attention toward a woman with European features. Buckwilde was far more offensive with her blackface act and just as fake…but not as cute, so not a threat. She was cast for jokes. Krazie was fake, just as everyone on the show was. Fake-ness is the nature of this temp-job. She just wasn't good at it. Krazie didn't seem smart enough to hide her agenda as well as the others did (like we all wanted her to so that we could tell ourselves "this show is not like the others...it's reeeeal"). Sometimes the competitive thing to do, is to band together against the greatest threat to your standing. If the competition was closer, you’d have a better chance of winning. Like it or not, deserved or not, Krazie was neck-in-neck with Delishis and New York. But I don't think it's, either that anger towards her was about her being fake during a competition or it was about hating the advantage she had because she was of mixed heritage. Tell, the truth yall. It was both. Getting her out was the smart move, but that doesn't mean there can't ALSO be resentment because someone so obvious about her quest for a recording contract, would still be in the running that late in the game. Why wouldn't these women ask themselves “How is Krazie still here? Is the answer, because she's light-skinned and didn't buy her hair”? Yup, ‘fraid it us. The fakest, most instigating, and biggest threat to them all was New York...but notice that no one ever tried to push her crazy butt off a balcony for talking smack...and she talked a lot of it. I just think it is blatant denial for anyone watching this show to suggest that they have not noticed how lighter skinned women fare better on it. It is dishonest to suggest that Many Black women are not mad as hell that this kind of favoritism continues, amongst some of our own men, as well as in the mainstream shows and videos. Every participant in Season 2 knew the winner of Season 1 was a sister of mixed heritage. Race, hair texture, skin-tone counted, when it shouldn’t have. If you don't admit it, you can't change it. This show is about two things, 1) How low will a woman go for access to money and temporary fame and 2) Can hyper-mocking black popular culture through pimp suits, gold teeth, and KFC dinner dates, sell? As another member of a black reality TV exploitation-fest might say, Hell to the Yes! Flavor of Love was put on the VH-1 line-up because of the ratings Flav and "Gitta's" realtionship generated in the first place on "Strange Love". They called it strange to underscore the fact that he was black (not light-skinned straight haired, doesn’t listen to rap music Black white America, but the "other kind" and she's well, you know German"). They play up race, complexion and sex to get us to watch. And we did. Now if I know that’s the deal, you mean to say the women on the show never noticed it? We have an over the hill "former" proponent of Black revolutionary consciousness, and an over the hill Nordic blonde women, who used to be married to "Rocky", the great white hope of boxing fantasy films...supposedly hooking up. That's how VH-1 played it from the start. Sexual Concept...trashy. Race baiting overtones ...offensive. Ratings...priceless. Then we get FOL that deliberately cuts to close-ups of Flav waving fried chicken drumsticks in the camera. I figured the watermelon would show up in Season 3. You really think he doesn’t know how to spell Crazy, instead of Krazie? He does, but ignorance pays better. I keep waiting for Chuck-D to come out screaming, "Yo, bum-rush the show"...but I guess he doesn't want to be divisive (now there's a topic for another post).. The last 4 competitors knew that Krazie had an unfair advantage for reason's that pissed them all of, and should have...SHE'S HIS TYPE. If she had been smarter, and kept that demo tape at home, she probably would have won. Based on what we've seen so far, would it have really been that surprising if she had? To be bothered by that is not self-hating, that's just real, possibly the only real thing about the show. JaMeya has a point in suggesting that we need to check ourselves when we give credence to the self-hating perspective that FLAV obviously has, when we get angry with the mixed race chick he's trying to mac simply because he thinks that’s more attractive, instead of getting mad with him for sleeping with some of the darker sisters but never leaving the show with one of them. FLAV keeps perpetuating the same "old school" ignorance that women who look "mixed" are the dopest ones and Latin women are the closest ones, hence his professed penchant for "Latin women" (which is a racist comment within itself, I mean, are all Latin women the same?) Note to Flav, Latin women come in many Flavors...with your ignorant ass. When he said he had a thing for Latin women, did you think the other competitors thought he was referring to his love of Hispanic culture, or to the lighter skin and straighter hair many Hispanic women have, that most women of African descent don't have? It's sad but important to note, the one most culpable on the show for dark vs. light hatin', is Flav... yet so many sista's on this blog have resorted to attacking JaMeya and each other about this, instead of him... just as the competitors on FOL are set up to do...that’s the mess that’s truly un-real.
first of all it wasn't no jealousy with krazy the chick didn't know nothing about flav, his songs,who he was then wanted deelishis to help her what!she was fake as hell and couldn't sing at all and got her face craked when she thought deelishis couldn't sing they target the fake chick they had nothing to be jealous of with krazy!!!! please get a life with that!!
Krazy was simply a fake, can't carry a tune bitch. She is a stupid dumb bitch, who would not hate her. She was worst than New York.
Deelishis may s**t on Krazy when it comes to singing, but Krazy DEFINATELY s***s on Dee when it comes to a pretty face. I'll give Krazy some credit b/c she kept standing up for herself while she was getting her a** kicked by three b*****s who are OBVIOUSLY jealous of her. If they weren't jealous of her, they wouldn't have constantly put her on blast like they did. That's what haters do. They do stuff like that and continue until their target cracks. Unfortunately, Krazy never cracked and she got to see two of the b*****s go home before she did. Dee, Bootz and Buckeey have no right to blast Krazy about her motives on being on the show. They are opportunists and are as fake as she is.
Here is what each of those women have going for them:
*Bootz:
-Large Breasts
*Deelishis:
-Light Skin
-Large Ass
-Better singing voice than Krazy
*Buckeey:
-Large Ass
And those looks can only take you but so far. It's class and personality that will take you even farther in life, and NONE OF THEM HAVE CLASS GOING FOR THEM (maybe except Deelishis b/c she has a daughter & she's doing all she can to support her.) Buckeey and Bootz are DEFINATELY a lost case.
I'll admit, Krazy is no Mariah Carey, but at least she has the guts to give a singing career a try. If it never takes off, at least she can say she gave it a shot.
