I've never been a fan of Tango a.k.a. The Tan Man. I believe Steups and a lot of The Blogspot readers have mad love for The Tan. One of the reasons I don't care for him goes beyond his appearance on 'I Love New York'. There was an incident that happened that someone w/ access to one of his 'REAL' MySpace accounts gave false information. I have a problem with persons who don't take responsibility for their actions or those in their camp. In addition, I have listened to or read most of his interviews. The story changes from interview to interview. The contradictions are countless. The Q. is far from perfect. Besides being old, ugly and bitter... I am unprofessional. I make many mistakes everyday. The one thing I don't do is give the reader an illusion of who I am. I am an average woman with a hot temper, saggy breasts, stretch marks and foul mouth. If you interviewed me in March 2007 and asked if I was in love with Whiteboy. My answer would've been, "No. I have love for Whiteboy. I am in lust with him." Fast forward to today, "I'll always have mad love for Whiteboy. He has crazy swagger and still sexy as all hell."
My point is I understand feelings change. However how does someone stomp up and down in millions of homes claiming he's there for New York. How does one tell a woman he loves her & proposes to her with the cameras rolling, then a few months later on national television he puts on a minstrel show of his own by sitting next to her acting lovely dovey. Minutes later, telling her he loves Tiffany but he got New York. WTF?! Didn't 'The Tan' watch 'Flavor of Love' seasons 1 & 2? Come on, Tango knew d@mn well who and what he was signing up for; NEW YORK. Now to make it worse, again with the cameras rolling Tango talks about sleeping with one eye open to protect himself from the woman he claimed to love. Is that what a 'Stand Up' type of man does? Did Tango keep one eye opened on Heather Hunter too? In closing, this is the sole opinion of The Q. and not a representation of how most of The Blogspot reader's feel. In all fairness, I think it's important to read Tango's own words on his 'I Love New York' experience.
THE STAND written by Tango – distributed on Myspace on Thursday, September 27 – posted as a blog on Saturday, September 29. Tango only posted the comments of those who agreed with him.
I hear that many of you are concerned about the portrayal of African Americans on TV and Film. "The idiocy", "The Modern day MINSTREL show", "A mockery of 400 years of progress". Some say Intelligence in Black programming (More so Reality TV) is nonexistent. 
Plain and simple... If you don't stand for something...then surely you will fall for everything. If you don't like what your seeing, Don't Turn off the Television.... Pick up the phone, send out an email... Do whatever you wish, But Don't take what they are giving you.
Bottom line is, Black Men can be Entertaining, Dramatic and Comedic on TV without Acting like Fools or without being portrayed as unintelligent gangsters. On that same note, The Black Female can be "Sexy and attractive without being Disrespected, degraded and portrayed as whores ( Hoes). Look, at no point do I expect this to change the minds of the people that will watch these shows. As a matter of fact this programming appeals to some people and I'm fine with that. What I am not fine with is that there is a "One sided view" presented on these shows. Not to mention the growing trend of the same type of show that is "Obviously" directed at a certain "Class or demographic of people".
The hypocrite: "The nerve of this dude" some will surely say. I had a choice, regardless of the opinions of many I've always made myself clear about why I appeared on the show I was on, I also made it clear that I believe I set a standard on reality TV that has never been done before.
Real, Fake or scripted.... at no point did I compromise My Dignity, My Self respect or My integrity to be on that program. I was far from perfect and had my moments, But I believe I gave reality TV viewers something they've never seen before. More importantly, I believe I gave the "Minority viewer" someone they could both respect and relate to.
I'm sorry, but I felt the only way to change things were from the inside out. It was Hell, but it was a small sacrifice to be made in order to give "Us" a voice... A voice doesn't mind saying Hell No.
They want to see Tan with his own show.... Well Tan won't be anything less than "The exception" , "The Difference" because "My people" Deserve more. At the same time... "My people" Have to want The exception... They have to Want the Difference. The Tango's, The Onix's, The Mo'Nique's & The DR. Ian Smith's are out there, So support them.
They don't pay your Cable bill ....Yet we let them control what we see..? Your Either going to be Gepeto or Pinocchio. Cut the puppeteer's Strings....And get real.

At one time I was a fan of Tango. He seemed like a down 2 earth black man. Like Quanda I noticed a lot of zig zagging. Tango first claimed he was there for New York. Then he was on TV to show people a positive image of a black male. I doubt either one of those claims where the truth. Many knew in advance that he won due to his bragging. He signed a legally binding contract but he tells to many he won. I am no longer a fan. The man I admired doesn't exist. Thanks to The Blogspot for telling it like it is. It is refreshing to see thinking fans and bloggers.
Tango is the LAMEST fakest dude on the show. I had some sympathy that everyone was clownin on him but he is Lame and i can't think of another word to describe his behavior.

Everything on TV or radio has a bit of fakeness to it hell its tv and its nobody's fault if YOU decide to feed into it. THere are contracts involved so no he wasn't able to say what he really wanted to say or do in this case. Of all the men on the show you chose to pick on Tango? Wow now that is interesting. When he mentioned keeping 1 eye open he wasn't talking about NY he was speaking on the guys in the house that may have been gay. Please get the facts straight or the interpretation. This is The Blogspot. We blog about the 'Flavor of Love', 'I Love New York', 'Charm School' and 'Rock of Love' shows. We also blog about their cast members. Blogging is sometimes neutral & sometimes it's opininated. Why do you take issue with me writing a complete blog (post) on Tango. Should it have been a half blog or partial blog? Whether I like him or not, he was a cast member of one of the highest rated VH1 reality series. Not to mention he was the winner of 'I Love New York'. A Tango post is very relevant to our blog. I have a feeling you are a 'Tan Man' fan. Cool beans, I am glad that he has a true fan in his corner. If you aren't a fan and you just highly disagree with what I typed. I am glad my post inspired you to comment.
Of course, we realize reality television is for the most part unscripted (or should be) in unREAL situations. However, I don't think it's far fetch to believe that some of the guys could actually be interested in New York romantically. Some of the cast members stated they didn't know it was going to be New York. However, over half of them knew it was New York before they flew to Los Angeles.
Whether I believe any of them were there for New York was not the point of the post. It is irrelevant whether I believed Tango loved New York or not. I understand it's a television show, ya dig? I watch it for entertainment. I blog for entertainment.

Yes he posted the comments that agreed with his 'The Stand' bulletin and later blog. Several who disagreed with Tango were shocked that he didn't approve their comments. Hayl it's his myspace page he can approve or disapprove how he sees fit. I just thought it was an interesting fact. We don't disapprove or approve comments on this site. The author writes what they choose to and they post it. Didn't you just do that? We don't delete or remove comments that differ with the author of the thread's post.
If he was so CONCERNED about contracts, I wouldn't had known he was the winner by the 5th episode. So your point about him being worried about contracts is invalid. He broke it when he 'allegedly'told several persons he won. I am sure you're thinking how can I be sure of my sources. He won didn't he? I also knew late February/early March that he was going to break up with New York on the 'ILNY' reunion show. I knew he was going to say, "I fell in love with Tiffany but I got New York." Heather Hunter acknowleges she was involved with Tango. I heard it with my own ears. And Tango had a picture of her, hugged up. My sources confirm they were indeed an item. However, hell my sources could be wrong yet again. LOL!
Well I have spoken with Whiteboy many times. He has never uttered one disrespectful word about New York or her mother. How is his fake? His family owns a pawn shop, he is Ky-mani Marley's road manager, also works for Pitbull & Trick Daddy. How is he fake again? How has he contradicted himself? Actually Tango gave an interesting interview to The Blogspot, even added a statement about refraining from mentioning Whiteboy in any future interviews. He is going to address Whiteboy at the 'ILNY' reunion taping. However, yet another interview within a week surfaced with Tango talking about who? You guessed it Whiteboy.

My opinion of Tango is just that MY OPINION. You are wrong about me looking for information on Tango. It comes to me. I have gotten countless tidbits of information on him during and after the airing of 'I Love New York'. The last four days I have received e-mails from readers and sources alike about the H.H. situation, the Spark Dawg TV video and 'The Stand' bulletin. I decided to write about it. If I wanted to HURT Tango, I could've called or e-mailed 51 Minds with what I knew. I also could've posted about all I knew months ago. And though the comment is quite lengthy, I assure you I know much more. I choose to keep it to myself.
With the premiere of 'I Love New York 2' airing soon, I believe a few post on the winner of 'I Love New York' are quite relevant. I don't think of Tango unless I receive information about him as I do the other cast members of 'I Love New York'.
In closing, of course I haven't heard nor read ALL of his interviews. However, I have read and heard many of them. And the story changes or there is always a variation of some sort.
