Tango is packing leisurely as New York enters the room....
(because we know damn well that boy doesn't want to go anywhere)
New York: what's going on?
Tango: you know, you know what's going on.
New York: (voice raised) so Sunny's here and you're leaving me?
Tango: I am going because you ignored me and (you're) trying to make me look like a fool and I hate that.
(trust, that ignoring shit hurts like a muffuca)
New York taunts Tango, pushing him in the chest and getting in his face as he cowers the way a man does when he knows he can't fight back but the rage is building.
She slaps the cap off his head and escapes downstairs to rid herself of the guests, the way your mother did when she's steaming to give you a right, good spanking.
Upstairs, Tango is in a confused state, almost discombobulated as he says, "I am losing my sexy right now, I am losing my sexy; I am losing my cool"
(Damn, and Justin worked so hard to bring that shit back, smh)
In the foyer, New York ushers her guests out the door and untruthfully says 'we should do this again sometime'. But she's steaming and thinks "I am not letting no man f*ck me up in my own crib"
The moment the guests leave, New York screams, "where he at!"
The fight
New York chases after Tango and they get into it:
New York: what the f*ck did I do to you to make you want to leave me tonight? I am 'tawking' to you!
Tango: you been dissin' me tonight from point A to point B
(that boy talks funny doesn't he?)
The guys are engrossed with the argument as Tango and New York seem very close to getting physical with each other but eventually, New York becomes bored with her audience and pleads, "can i have some privacy please?"
In a display of bravado she says to them, "you are my Fantastic Four", knowing this would further incense Tango.
With them gone, 'twas back to arguing again...
New York: Yo ass is fake, yo ass is fake. Faker than pleather; faker than faux fur.
(actually, faker is a noun, I think. Whateva)
Tango: (screaming loudly) What is it! You want me to go?
New York walks away and up the stairs to the retreat of her bedroom but says, "I hate you"
Tango: (sarcastically) I love you too
New York: yeah, yeah, yeah. Sure you do; that's why you're bouncing.
Tango: I guess you'll never know will you?
New York, at the top of the stairs now, turns around, flips her dress and moons him -reunion show style. She then runs to her bedroom; crashes face down on her bed and cries.
Tango is in a quandary; he knows damn well he doesn't want to leave but he almost has to now because his 'pussy card' is played out. He can't afford to not follow through on his threat. His only hope is an intervention of some sort and luckily, New York has a change of heart.
After a rethink, New York concludes she's solely at fault, and goes to Tango to persuade him to stay. She confesses to him, "only a man I care for can make me this upset" and "watching you with another woman gets to me".
He responds, "watching you watching me with another woman.....blah blah"
(Tango loves to hear himself speak, methinks. You have her where you want her; just shut-up already)
Finally they kiss, and kiss, and kiss and kiss before retiring to their respective bedrooms.
Now, if Whiteboy was around he would have learnt a few things (like not swallowing the woman's head when kissing) but our boy was too busy mixing cocktails with Chance.
And soon enough he and Chance were mixing 'cocktales' too.
(Ask yourself this, if you were a straight, drunk male would you end up in the bedroom of the suspected gay guy?)
(Exactly!)
Maybe it was the drinks or the sight of 12 Pack face down in Speedos; but Whiteboy and Chance began a bizarre mating ritual with Chance punching stuff off the wall and Whiteboy fondling 12 Pack's legs.
They soon righted their minds however, and Chance confronted 12 Pack, saying "be honest with your dawgs"
12 Pack was not amused, "I like both of you but don't make me get up and beat the f*ck out of both of you"
Remember the Whiteboy who dared Tango to "step out the car and I'll beat your f*cking ass"?
Well he must have gone home because this version of Whiteboy escaped so quickly from the bedroom I never saw him leave.
Chance shared his cowardice but was more honest, "I ain't ready for no blood-shed, that (12 Pack's threat) scared the shit out of me"
(lmwbhao....which means, laughing my Whiteboy-hating ass off)
(lol)
What a night!
The Day after: the Date
Sister Patterson arrived very early the next morning to announce the guy whom she selected for a date with New York; and naturally, she chose Real, her favorite.
New York wasn't having it and, with her mom gone; lied to the guys that her (Sister P's) choice was Chance.
The date was at Chez Cherie Cooking School where they met Cherie herself. The meal (to be prepared by Chance) was an appetizer of asparagus with cheese, wrapped in prosciutto.
New York was mightily impressed by Chance's cooking and even more impressed by his swagger as they kissed hungrily.
According to her, she "was ready to pop, blow-out and push it out on the table right there"
(I guess I am not as sexualized as I thought because I just don't get that innuendo/metaphor)
A gift was produced again (which makes me wonder why Mr. Boston received nothing) and on this occasion it was a ring-box which led to a really funny comment from Chance, "I know we ain't getting married that fast"
(lol)
Turns out it was an ear-ring box and Chance was the happy recipient of Diamond studs; big ol' diamond studs.
So happy was Chance with the date that he lifted her into the limousine for the trip home, and screamed like DiCaprio in Titanic when he returned to the mansion. He declared the date an A+ as Tango entered the room in a bathing towel
(I declare Tango's body a disaster area...is FEMA still around?)
Elimination
New York opened the proceedings by saying, "I'm nervous; you will always be my Fabulous Five"
(what's with her obssession with F-word alliteration, this episode?)
(I am tired now so let's just cut to the chase)
In order, chains were given as follows:
1) Chance - "I'm still floating from that date"
2) Whiteboy - "there's just something about those dreamy bedroom eyes"
3) Real - "you keep me grounded and you're so funny" (or some ish like that; the memory is fading and failing)
Predictably it was down to 12 Pack and Tango, but 12 Pack was never going to receive a chain.
In his typical style he departed on good terms...
New York: I hope you do blow-up
12 Pack: thank you for having me
And that was that; the end of I love New York Episode 7.
In Episode 8, to air next week; the guys visit Palm Beach and go golfing and fly in a hot-air balloon.
The week after, in Episode 9; the mothers of the three remaining contestants are invited to the mansion.
(who will Whiteboy send this time)
Laterz; thanks for reading...(winks at Dana)

First ...Michael Ealy ...very nice.
I still prefer Whiteboy.
ummmmmmm just a suggestion but could yall put some betta pics of my baby lol~~~mr.new york
Original; we've just about used every picture she has...
let me know your faves and I'll consider re-using them
New york was the ugliest out of them all, but they were all nice looking...besides New york.
New York gave Chance a date, since he never once won a challenge. Have anyone notice that Chance is the only guy who haven't tried to win New york over? He never won a challenge. He never tried to romance her, no midnight snacks, no flowers, nothing. Chance have not even tried to spend time with her, besides the first day there. Chance have spent more time trying to get close to Whiteboy, than he had trying to get close to New York...and everyone think that 12 pack is the gay one??
Why in the world would he want to actually spend time with New York! I don't blame him she looks like Janice from the muppets.
As usual both of the recaps are fantastic, but I chose to write this in the blog-less-commented. Steups, Palm Beach is in Florida. Palm Springs and Palm Desert are both in California. This is not a criticism, nor is it meant to do anything other than to give information. Since the show is filmed in the LA/Hollywood area in California, I would assay the location is in Palm Springs (the country club there was frequented by the extremely wealthy white movie stars and entertainers back in the day). Anyway, this is just an FYI.
(A retired Teacher)...Yeah I said it! I'm coming out! I'm an old girl!
