How old do you have to be to get into a club in trinidad?
Some clubs have age restrictions (51 degrees and Zen say their min age is 25)
But we have a relaxed culture where there is minimal adherence to rules. So really people don't get carded, if you look hot, you're in!!!

I don't know if you have kids or not but if that was your daughter you would want to know why they let a minor in.

a) whether an age requirement exists
b) what the the requirement is should one exist
Many clubs do not have an age requirement once no alcohol is served to minors. For example, Club Celebs in South lets anyone in but not everyone can buy alcohol and there are many clubs like that.
I also acknowledged above that if it was my daughter I would feel differently so there is no need to restate the obvious.
Also if she was my daughter I would have more pressing issues to concern myself with like how she left the house looking like that for example...not how she got into the club

Certain Clubs I would have no problem if my 15 yr old was caught in there becuase our culture is different.

My mother dropped me and picked me up. It was after my CXC exams. And it was no big deal.

To the person that said no one that is not from Trinidad can wine like that has not been to San Pedro de Marcoix, Republica Dominicana - we get down like that all day, but none of my people that are 15,16 years old (generally) is allowed to go out like that. A family party where music and dancing breaks out is one thing - this is our culture, we have African blood and we dance, but to have that little girl out in the club doing all that is ridiculous. Little girls need to stay little girls. So I can't even be mad at Akon. It's like the little girl that R. Kelly peed on. Sure, he knew she was underage - you could see it in her face. But she also knew she was underage, and if she learned how to ride a d*ck like that, then she should have known not to take her fast azz up in there in the first place. I know a couple families that were raised in Trinidad, and their little girls don't act like that either - they are nice young ladies.
It has nothing to do with Trini, Jamaican, or African culture. Little girls, especially now with AIDS killing our young people daily, need to stay little girls. If someone asked her what 9x11 was, she probably wouldn't know - too busy trying to dutty wine....

You've got Dominicans all wrong - the way we move and the way Colombians move are 2 different styles. I love Shakira, but her hips are stiff compared to Carribbean dance styles. All Carribbean countries (which DR is a part) have basically the same style when it comes to dancehall, and no, I don't mean reggaeton, I mean reggae.
And I have attended Carnival, and it's the same thing. That ain't nothing new, just because Sean Paul or Elephant man put it out on a video, people think wining is something new - please. Trinidad is full of beautiful people that can move, but it's certainly not the only country. It's like saying Dominicans are the only people that know how to cook platanos.

They only see people from Trini, Jamaica, Barbados, etc winin because that is what they are known for. My point was this little girl needs to sit it down and leave grown up dances to grown people, and to not sleep on other countries just because you haven't seen their people doing the dance. To say only people in Trinidad can wine like that is not true.
Also, you and I both know that when it's all said and done at Carnival when the Calypso and Soca get turned down, that dancehall gets turned up so don't front like you didn't know what I was talking about. :). I've been to Carnival after-parties (off the HOOOOOK).

When i was 14 or 15 i did shit but not to that extent, i understand if u go to a party and misbehave a lil, but at that age i couldnt get into a club even now they harrassing me for my ID i like wineing and behaving bad like that but in d comfort of my home and then the tattoo, my mom still cussing my ass for putting on my tats and i 32 yrs. but did u see the innocent pic she had with her dad she looked 14 in that one i guess she suffers with a multiple personality syndrome
