America's Most Smartest Model Premiere

Q mentioned the debut of America's Most Smartest Model a while back, but I paid it no mind really. But, a few days ago, I caught a repeat airing and let me tell ya, it's yet another reality hit for VH1.

I missed a fair bit but I can tell you there are, or rather were, 8 men and 8 women until two of each were eliminated. The eliminated guys were Slavco, a former contestant on 'Kept' (starring Jerry Hall) and Gaston, an Argentine whose pick-up lines are almost as good as mine.
The eliminated girls were Jame, and Victoria, a rich Mormon (aren't they all?)

The show tries to marry smarts with modeling, so the challenges ranged from cat-walking to a 'spelling bee'. But the real attraction to the show are the characters and this bunch is mad funny. And crazy, too.

The 'funny' tends to come from a guy named Jesse, an African-American bisexual who graduated with honors. When one contestant messes up a designer's name during the spelling bee challenge, he says, "she can't spell that, she can't even buy that shit. Sit down!"
And when Daniel (a doctoral candidate in Psychology) successfully spells 'bacchanalian'; Jesse had me cracking up when he remarked, "whatta whatta, what the fuck!" (dude is too funny)

Other great characters are Andre (a Russian-born model), who has an inflated opinion of models; "people die to be us, bro". And Mandy Lyn who has a half-million MySpace friends and gets annoyed when people inaccurately describe her enhanced lips, "...it's not collagen, it's silicone"
Besides that you just have to watch a show where contestant say things like "dirty penis", "you gotta nice hiney" and one has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
