Courtney's joke was about Mo'Nique having a fat arm

goldie-red-carpet-eventWell, after many stops and starts Courtney (Charm School) finally made her long awaited appearance on 'The Elle Word'. Turns out, last evening and today she was on the set of a movie starring Cedric The Entertainer but she somehow managed an interview with Gabrielle and BrownSuga between takes.

She tactfully declined to repeat the joke that so offended someone from Mo'Nique's camp, but she revealed the joke was about Mo'Nique's arm.
I guess the moral of that story is don't bite the arm that feeds you.

Earlier in the show there were segments with Redhead (go add him on MySpace) and Trends (view his video, 'Sexual Frustration')
Download the podcast here (Goldie comes on at min. 39:33)

Later today, at 1:00pm EST (10:00am PST), Larissa's mom will be on The Elle Word to discuss the Charm School Reunion, her confrontation with Mo'Nique and the negative comments hurled at her since the airing of the Reunion Show.
(Abusive calls will not be tolerated. It is possible to ask tough questions in a respectful tone)

Thursday, Darra stops by to take your questions. Friday is an hour-long program on the hidden secrets of the world of professional modeling (guests TBA) and next week Monday we debut a show that recaps 'Rock of Love', featuring Quanda and Licious from Q-Gasm

  1. FIRST!!!

The radio shows that I have listened to are very informative and entertaining. I'm really looking forward to seeing what "Mama-Rissa" has to say.

After watching the reunion show, I really felt sorry for LaRissa because she doesn't act as if she was taught boundaries. She seems to have been raised with no limits by a mother who condoned everything she did.

I hope that after listening to the radio interview that I will change my opinion.

  3. Good morning electra.

Pauline, WOW...that would be enough for me to ban Goldie from Hollywood if possible.

I think that Monique has enough clout with other Black Actors/Actresses/Comedians/Film Makers to have a say in What Goldie does in "Black Hollywood" for a long time. If that is what she said, then I don't know if I could or would forgive that.

No wonder Goldie is off the tour.

  4. OMG (mouth ajar) is that what she said? What kind of joke is that?

If someone's trying to give u a push and help u why would u turn around and say such a thing? smh

As a matter of fact, why would you say such a derogatory thing about a person period? Hmmmmph

Sometimes I really wonder where has common sense gone, because people act so clueless at times.

Someone who's highly successful in the arena you would like to become successful in offers you a chance and you go and kick down your pail of milk, how smart.

  5. in goldie's defense, that joke was repeated out of context and we don't know if it was as bad as it seems now.

It could be that Monique just didnt want someone on tour with her using her for material, a conflict of interest, if you will.

comics have been known to be harsh...like HARSH. if you need to refresh your memory how vulgar and agressive Monique's onstage comedy act is just go watch Queens of Comedy again.

Im not talking bad about Monique because the woman is amazing and i love her sense of humor and her tough love and in your face attitude.

Which is why larissa is so wrong to be so confrontational with Monique who has proven herself not only as an actress but as a comedian and a woman in hollywood.

but goldie just might have chosen the wrong time to use that type of material.

  12. I too am looking forward to hearing from Larrisa's mother. I was amazed at how she not only sat in the front row and watched her foul-mouthed daughter behave like an animal and had no objections, but on top of that had the nerve to trollop on stage to defend her.! I want to here what da hell she's thinking. It seems her and Sis Patterson suffer from the bad parenting skills.

  15. Goldie did not lie, she said its like talking about someone's arm. She didn't necessarily say that was the joke.
